Abstract Submission Guidelines for TVA-IVC 2026

GENERAL INFORMATION: The Scientific Committee of TVA-IVC 2026 invites submission of original research. Abstracts on all aspects of vascular and endovascular surgery. Accepted abstracts will be considered for oral or poster presentation during the conference (21–23 October 2026).

  • Notification of acceptance: 15 September 2026

TOPICS OF INTEREST 

  • Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) — medical, surgical and endovascular management
  • Aortic Disease — EVAR, TEVAR, open aortic repair
  • Venous Disease — varicose veins, DVT, chronic venous insufficiency
  • Vascular Access — dialysis access, tunneled catheters
  • Carotid and Cerebrovascular Disease
  • Diabetic Foot and Wound Care
  • Innovation and Technology in Vascular Surgery
  • Basic Science and Translational Research in Vascular disease


FORMAT REQUIREMENTS Word limit: 300 words maximum (excluding title and authors)
LANGUAGE: English

STRUCTURE: Please use “TVA-IVC 2026 abstract template” 

  • For Original Research, the abstract must be structured into separate sections: (1) Background – (2) Objective – (3) Methods – (4) Results – (5) Conclusion 
  • For Case Report / Case Series, the abstract is merely a word document without sections
    • Title: Bold, UPPERCASE, maximum 20 words
    • Authors: List all authors; underline the presenting author
    • Affiliations: Include department, Institution, City, and Country
    • Tables/Figures: Not permitted in the abstract body
    • Abbreviations: Define at first use

CATEGORIES: Authors must select one of the following categories at submission:

  • Original Research (clinical or basic science)
  • Case Report / Case Series 

REVIEW PROCESS : All abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee using a blinded peer-review process. Evaluation criteria include scientific merit, originality, clarity, and relevance to conference themes. The Committee's decision is final.

PRESENTATION TYPES: 

  • ORAL PRESENTATION: 8 minutes presentation + 2 minutes Q&A
  • E-POSTER: Digital poster displayed throughout the conference with a dedicated 5-minute presenter session
    *The ORAL AND E-POSTER PRESENTATION TEMPLATE will be sent to the presenter by email after the abstract has been ACCEPTED.

DISCLOSURE: The presenting author must disclose any conflicts of interest or financial relationships relevant to the submitted work at the time of submission.
